Uncle Jaffi (UJ), Port Harcourt

UJ’s Port Harcourt venue is being redeveloped as a more refined evening destination — dinner, drinks and music under one dramatic roof. It reopens in 2026.
The Hall
The heart of the redevelopment is a double-height gabled hall, its roofline traced in warm linear light. At the far end, an arched window framed by burgundy drapes holds a carved mask, a DJ booth and a ring of stage lights above the bar.
Stairs rise either side of the bar to a planted mezzanine, turning the room into a stage for the evening.
Dining & Arrival
Burgundy velvet banquettes, white-clothed tables and soft armchairs sit beneath a ceiling of angled light lines, with textured plaster walls and round back-lit mirrors.
Guests arrive through a portal of illuminated arches to a fluted-marble host stand carrying the Uncle Jaffi script.
The Social Garden
Outside, a landscaped courtyard becomes an open-air lounge: deep outdoor sofas on terrazzo, glowing orb lights and tropical planting around a monumental giraffe sculpture holding a crystal chandelier.
Garden Dining
A glazed dining room opens onto the courtyard, with a botanical mural, cascading vines, a planted skylight and a bold black-and-white marble floor.
