Privacy Notice

How Jefferson Hospitality Group collects, uses and protects personal information shared through this website, including enquiries, project and investment submissions, newsletter sign-ups and job applications.

Last updated: September 2026

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Jefferson Hospitality Group (“JHG”, “we”, “us”), with offices in Abuja, Nigeria and Porto, Portugal. JHG is responsible for the personal information described in this notice.

For any privacy question or request, contact us at info@jeffersonhospitality.co.uk. For recruitment matters, contact hr@jeffersonhospitality.co.uk.

2. What we collect

  • Enquiries and project briefs: your name, company, role, email, phone, country and the details you choose to share about your enquiry or project.
  • Investment and partnership opportunities: your contact details, information about the asset or opportunity, and any documents you upload.
  • Newsletter: your email address.
  • Job applications and the Talent Network: your contact details, CV, portfolio, work history, qualifications, preferences and any other information you include.
  • Technical information: our hosting provider records basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to operate and secure the website.

Please do not send sensitive personal information (for example health information or identification numbers) or confidential financial or banking details through the website.

3. How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and assess projects, partnerships and investment opportunities.
  • To send JHG Perspectives, if you subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To assess applications, contact shortlisted candidates and, with your agreement, consider you for future roles.
  • To operate, secure and improve the website, and to meet our legal obligations.

We process personal information on the basis of your consent, to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, for our legitimate interests in running and growing our business, and where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Recruitment privacy notice

When you apply for a role or join the Talent Network, JHG uses your information only for recruitment. Your application is reviewed by our People & Culture team and the relevant hiring managers. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

If you are not successful, we keep your application for up to 12 months so we can consider you for other suitable roles, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Talent Network profiles are kept until you ask us to remove them, and are reviewed at least once a year. If you join JHG, your application becomes part of your employee record.

Online assistants on this website, where available, are for general guidance only and do not make hiring decisions or rank candidates.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with JHG team members who need it, and with trusted service providers acting on our instructions, including our website hosting and form provider (Netlify) and our email, CRM, live chat and HR systems (Zoho). Some of these providers store data outside Nigeria or the European Economic Area; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections. We may also disclose information where required by law.

6. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Enquiries and submissions are generally kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless a business relationship continues or the law requires longer. Recruitment information is kept as described in section 4.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing already carried out). To exercise these rights, email info@jeffersonhospitality.co.uk.

You may also complain to a data protection authority, such as the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or, in Portugal, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).

8. Cookies

Strictly necessary technical measures help deliver and secure this website. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when fonts are requested.

With your consent, we use Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies to understand how visitors use the site and to measure the results of our advertising (for example, whether an advert led to an enquiry). If we offer live chat (through Zoho SalesIQ), it uses cookies to run the chat and recognise returning visitors, and is only loaded if you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link.

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections for all forms. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
