The Playground — Ikoyi
A proposed leisure and lifestyle destination in Ikoyi, Lagos — a playground arena, container park and skating rink on one site, under development by Jefferson in partnership with the client.
The Concept
The Playground brings several ways to spend a day into one walled, landscaped site. At the gate, a colour-blocked container tower marks the entrance. Inside, stacked shipping containers house bars and roof terraces around a garden of sunken lounges, fountains and a food hall pavilion with outdoor dining.
A children’s water-play area with a spiral slide sits at the centre of the site, while a large gabled skating arena — fronted by a full-height mural — anchors the plot, with a pool deck alongside it.
Jefferson's Role
Jefferson is developing The Playground together with the client under a partnership, bringing the Group’s development and hospitality thinking to a mixed leisure programme: food and beverage, family entertainment and sport on a single site.
The project carries the Playground name, one of the ventures within the Jefferson ecosystem. It is currently proposed and in development.
